Check out Poll Everywhere...

Poll Everywhere is a startup by friend and MIT E&I colleague Jeff Vyduna that is starting to pick up buzz by providing an inexpensive audience response system using cell phones and text messaging.

Cool idea and definitely a neat little widget to have to spice up the ever ubiquitous Powerpoint presentation. A scary road for to go down for a startup with the number of competitors in this space, but if there's anyone who can figure out a way to carve out some competitive advantage here, it'll be Jeff. I'll have to ask him if they have any IP around it (kinda doubt it). I wish them luck. Might be a good pickup for a wireless or phone company. At least we can be certain that Powerpoint presentations will be getting more interactive in the future.
